About Us

Tech Music Marketing is the North American distributor of Stonebridge Guitars & Mandolins , and is located near Toronto, Canada.  It is owned and operated by Roger Schmidt and Bryan Hallam, who each have over 17 years of  experience in musical instrument sales, at both the retail and wholesale levels. 

In particular, Roger Schmidt has an extensive guitar background.  Not only has he worked in the past as a repair technician, and done some actual guitar building, he is also an accomplished fingerstyle player.  His passion and general knowledge about guitars has been the source of inspiration for the creation of this new venture.  Roger has frequently traveled on behalf of the company that he worked for, during the past tens years, in particular to Europe.  This has given him the opportunity to establish good relationships with a number of manufacturers from this area of the world, who build exceptionally high quality and high value guitars and mandolins.  Thus, the goal has become, to introduce some of these fine instruments into the North American market. Tech Music Marketing is excited to bring you Stonebridge guitars and mandolins, by luthier Frantisek Furch.

Bryan Hallam was in the faculty of music at The University of Western Ontario, and was a

dept. manager at Long & McQuade Toronto. He was then the Zoom sales manager for the province of Ontario. Other lines included Crafter Guitars, Hartke Bass , Samson Audio & Wireless, Ev & Telex. He has many industry contacts and has a wealth of retail and wholesale experience.

Bryan and Roger teamed up in March of 2005  to launch Tech Music , and they introduced

"Stonebridge Guitars" to the Canadian & US markets at winter Namm 2006. 

Tech Music's focus is now soley on developing  Stonebridge Guitars & Mandolins. Prior to

the fall of 2008, Tech Music  also distributed  several other lines in Canada including Breedlove Guitars, Johnson Guitars, & Morgan Monroe.
